Our manufacturing automotive client, located in Southwestern Ontario, is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager.
The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager. Your role is to ensure flawless launches by driving the APQP process and the integration of advanced lean manufacturing concepts.
Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication and organizational skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Manage launch activities such as run at rate, process development and all pre-productions
Manage the facility tooling program(s) activities including the supervision of the Tooling Engineers and Tooling Specialist(s)
Manage and oversee customer quotations including all capacity analysis and supplier quoting, analyze, thru CAD and other systems,
utilization, layout, workflow and shop floor inventory control and initiate appropriate activities to improve.
Act as a customer liaison regarding engineering and process issues.
Optimize manufacturing operations thru analytical studies of the current operating parameters, such as, production methods and processes
on a continuous basis.
Participate in facility cross-functional internal continuous improvement activities with advanced engineering concepts
Maintain departmental spending per the annual fiscal budget
During management system audits events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures, and
participate in corrective action activities as necessary.
Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Degree
Project leadership experience
10 years experience working as an Engineer in manufacturing, 5 years management-automotive preferred
