Job Description

Our reputable and growing manufacturing client is continuing to pursue excellence in their injection mold, lean manufacturing practices and requires a hands-on Maintenance Manager with a extensive injection mold experience, to provide the plant maintenance function and lead a team of technicians at their plant in the Charlotte, North Carolina region.

The Maintenance Manager will support plant facilities and equipment maintenance to produce quality products and meet customer expectations in an efficient, timely and profitable manner.He/she will be responsible from the initial planning and providing direction for daily operations while overseeing the maintenance and repair of machinery.
He/she will conduct monthly, quarterly reviews and train team leaders to develop and implement their area of responsibility, maintain overall coordination of all departmental developments, and verify target dates and goals are meeting expectations with tangible results in bottom line and encouragement of employee motivation to strive for excellence.

Develop and/or maintain an effective preventive maintenance program
in order to improve production efficiency and ensure optimum machine time availability.

Advanced ability in mechanical, electrical PLCs, pneumatics and hydraulic elements of manufacturing equipment.

Review plant production equipment environment in order to recommend
process improvements and equipment installations.

Record and analyze plant equipment performance data using design and
performance specifications in order to ensure optimum machine

Conduct formal training.

Maintain collaborative relationship with all other departments.

Remain aware and trained on all technical advancements in the area of responsibility.

Assist and support Mechanics with expertise in equipment.

Ensure that equipment is maintained and operational up to company standards.

Proactively improve process functioning (continuous improvement) and strive for enhanced levels of efficiency


Minimun of 5 years experience in injection mold enviornment, with a strong preference for 10+ years experience

5+ years previous maintenance management experience in a related industry.

Prior experience with project management.

Strong experience with computerized maintenance management systems

Must have experience working in manufacturing with plastics experience

Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred.

Good computer skills

Experience coaching, training, and giving feedback to staff
