Job Description

Our stable and well established manufacturing client is seeking a strong leader who leads by example for our full-time, permanent role. They appreciate hard work and having fun. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of skilled and unskilled maintenance workers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties will include maintaining production equipment to minimize downtime, inspected projects to ensure satisfactory completion, and inventory maintenance.

Key Accountabilities

Manage and direct the activities of employees and equipment in maintenance department
Strong preventative maintenance knowledge with strong pneumatics and hydraulics expertise
Effective employee relations including handling employee complaints, obtaining help and guidance for employee’s with problems, and completing performance evaluations
Ensure appropriate parts and supplies are available in order to properly maintain essential equipment and uptime
Ensuring completion of machine Safety concerns/issues
Completion of Workplace Inspections as assigned
Completion of Monthly Safety Meeting with Department

Minimum Requirements
Completion of secondary school
Millright certification in a relevant trade
Maintenance Management Professional certification
Five years in a maintenance machining environment, and two year as a supervisor or equivalent in an extrusion environment preferred
Intermediate knowledge of all applicable Microsoft and other software applications
