    Job Description

    Our client, an internationally established and well-respected organization has engaged our services to search out a new Plant Manager for their key manufacturing division near Barrie, Ontario.

    The company has built success upon success over the years and enjoys an excellent reputation for engineered quality,time-sensitive delivery of products, and a strong sense of business ethics. The environment is an engineered “job shop” or one-off manufacturing process.

     

    The new Plant Manager will be responsible for overall business management, producing results, and is expected to assess the overall picture to determine the efficiency of current business and/or department practices and investigate possible alternative methodologies. In addition, he/she will be responsible for developing and maintaining continuous improvement in relation to the actual cost, quality standards, and the utilization of lean manufacturing techniques in the plant, and compliance to all environmental systems through plant supervisory personnel.

    Overall management direction, the leadership of management group, set targets and strategies for realistic new business objectives, and guide the team to strive for excellence with quality engineered products in a competitive world market

    Require:

    The successful candidate should possess some secondary education(engineering an asset), proven general/plant management skills as a team builder in a challenging environment, strong interpersonal

    skills for leadership and problem resolution, and ability to make people “want to work with me “, engineered product background (automotive experience considered), some job shop experience at senior level preferred.

    Job Requirements

    Formal Education and Training

    University Degree in economics or in an engineering discipline or similar

    7-10 years experience in production management (engineering, maintenance, LEAN, and logistics)
