Quality Assurance Manager – London, ON.
Our client, a part supplier in the Automotive Industry has an exciting opportunity for Quality Assurance Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, The Quality Assurance Manager must have automotive experience with all around strong quality systems knowledge. The candidate must also have experience of direct contact with customers in problem resolution as well as maintaining or developing relationships with customers. Other customer qualifications include,
QMS and EMS Management Representative, Ensure compliance to the Corporate TS internal audit schedule, Ensure compliance to all ISO 14001 (EMS) requirements – C of A, Legal, NPRI, etc, Ensure compliance to Companies Global Operating Procedures, Ensure compliance to Gauge and Equipment Calibration schedule, Ensure compliance to ISO / TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards, Maintain ISO / TS 16949 and ISO 14001 work instructions, Ensure non-conformances are responded to within the required time frame, Ensure that all required testing is completed and meets customer requirements, Interact with the customer on quality issues, Ensure that customers are provided with robust corrective actions within the required timeframe,Review daily bulletins from customer websites and distribute accordingly, Interact with customers on required audits, drive improvements, and close action items, Prepare documents / action plans as required, Ensure the PPAP dates are met and meet the customer requirements, Monitor customer websites on a daily basis for new quality issues, Interact with the customer during visits to the facility (ie for PTR’s, PPAP reviews. etc), Communicate all Quality issues (both internal / external) to Management team and to the Director of Quality, Customer Plant visits as required.
The Candidate must also have experience and perform QOS functions. Maintain QOS measurables board – daily / monthly, Prepare QOS measurables per the requirements for Monthly Management Reviews, Prepare QOS items for Senior Management monthly meeting, Monitor Cost of Quality and other key measurables – implement actions to reduce cost to meet or exceed the target.
Other Duties Include,
Perform annual employee evaluations, Ensure all supplier charge backs are approved and submitted to accounting, Monitor and report Quality Box Audit failures to the team, Monitor and report Quality Alert / Customer Issue causes of failure, Work with other departments to ensure timely closure to open issues on the fast response board, Monitor activities of all plant representatives, Maintain department vacation schedules, Review items on the Read Across Matrix to ensure timely completion to items, Monitor Supply web to ensure that all DMN’s are closed in the required time frame, Complete layered audits per audit schedule and monitor closure of items.
The candidate must have a minimum of 3 – 5 years in Quality Assurance and relevant post secondary education or equivalent experience. The candidate must also be ISO / TS 16949 and ISO 14001 Experience and Lead Auditor certificate preferred have Strong Communication and Problem Solving Skills, Knowledge of GD&T, Knowledge of AIAG Manuals – SPC, PFMEA, APQP, MSA, PPAP and all customer specific requirements, Knowledge of SPC.
