Job Description

Our client located near Kitchener, Ontario has requested our help in finding them their next divisional Vice President. Known as a visionary thinker within the embedded hardware industry, our client needs a proven senior manager to lead and strengthen the development team in order to successfully meet the challenging needs of their customers over the next decade.

Our client has multiple process capabilities for innovative product solutions, and the new VP will provide the leadership and progressive development of the organization to maintain as well as capture the new potential markets available while ensuring top quality engineered products are the norm.

With strategic planning and a strong background in business development, the new VP will direct positive action to set the vision for the company future, and lead the company through the next steps to continued success, preparing the path for current and future customer needs.

The new VP will be responsible for a division located in both Canada and the USA with all P & L related functions, sales /marketing, and direct the overall manufacturing, engineering ,supply chain and logistics ,financial ,human resources and development of staff/management for each site to ensure top efficiencies. Will also approve and manage operational budgets, establish and monitor key performance metrics, assess and recommend operational changes where necessary, analyze forecasts vs. actual, assess engineering process. Furthermore, you will guide the teams in operational decisions, technical or engineering concepts/profitability and be aware of current markets, new operational potential outputs to meet demands and manage growth.

Requirements:

– An extensive educational background in Business with a preference towards those with an MBA
– Strong business acumen with a proven track record in applying technological and financial opportunities
– A background in Sales Management
– At least 10 years of leadership experience within the Embedded Hardware Industry
